It all started when...

...A young teenager bought his first car.  It was his parents, old 1972 AMC Gremlin with Levis denim interior. In 1979 he and wife purchased a used Porsche 924 and traveled throughout the country in their newly acquired sports car.  From then on the young couple were hooked on performance sports cars, sharing the passion with everyone they meet. Over time, they collected a couple cars, and the collection grew bit by bit. The collection has come a long way since then with the gradual addition of many rare, collectible cars from Italy, England, Germany, United States, and yes, even Holland!  The collection is focused primarily on limited production cars that have rare or exotic performance features.

Goodwood-Sterling is a not-for-profit entity with multiple locations in the United States. We procure, maintain, and preserve the integrity of new and used rare performance automobiles.

  • We are not in the business of buying and selling cars. Rather, we procure the “right” cars that fit our goals of being limited, unique and interesting.

  • We consider ourselves as stewards of the history of rare performance automobiles. We are caretakers to preserve the future of each unique car we collect.

  • We share our knowledge of the art and science of the performance automobile with institutions and individuals as well as providing static and dynamic displays from our collection to highlight automotive achievements. Attendees at events around the world have enjoyed viewing and hearing these fine machines.

  • We are actively engaged in gathering historical information relating to automotive innovations as well as conducting research and development for after-market performance enhancements and alternative energy sources for the performance automobile to assure that the special cars of yesterday and today will still be with us well into the future for all to enjoy.

Our ultimate purpose is to share this art and history with others by offering our curated collection as rolling art to raise awareness for worthy causes to assist special need children and their families, and fund cures for childhood and other terminal diseases. If your not-for-profit or charitable group would like to share this automotive excitement to raise awareness for your group, please contact us through our contact page.
